Well, after reading the security upgrade release (you should upgrade now, especially if you installed 2.1.1 in the past 3-4 days) of WordPress, I decided it was time to go ahead and switch over to updating via SVN. I think this is really going to make my updates (and new installations in the future) a lot easier and I’m glad I finally took the time to look into it. If you’re interested in switching over to this setup as well, there are instructions for installing/upgrading WordPress via SVN over at WordPress Codex (you’ll need to change out some version numbers to make sure to get the latest, etc, but it’ll work nicely if you do that).
I am a Web Developer located in Richmond, VA. Primarily, I work on the back-end of websites utilizing my database and desktop application coding experience from the past to achieve desired results for the user interface. Recently however I have started moving more into the UI realm, utilizing JavaScript and AJAX to allow for better performance out of the back-end systems.
