Via a highly scientific process, I’ve determined that the list below contains 5 surefire ways to get a post listed on the homepage of Delicious.
- Create a post with a title such as: 5 ways to do X
- Create a post with a title such as: 10 ways to do X (where X is the same as in #1 and includes the first 5 ways)
- Create a post with a title such as: 15 ways to do X (where X includes steps from #1 & #2)
- Create a post with a title such as: 20 ways to do X (again, where X includes steps from #1, #2 & #3)
- Create a post with a title such as: 42 ways to do X – the content of this post should do nothing other then link off to other sites that list ways to do X
I am a Web Developer located in Richmond, VA. Primarily, I work on the back-end of websites utilizing my database and desktop application coding experience from the past to achieve desired results for the user interface. Recently however I have started moving more into the UI realm, utilizing JavaScript and AJAX to allow for better performance out of the back-end systems.

Curious… How doing this achieves getting on the home page of delicious…
Surely this will also achieve a certain amount of duplication when it comes to the list…
Love to hear back and understand.
Obviously this was sort of intended as a joke, however the whole reason it is funny is because it happens on Delicious constantly. One person releases “5 ways to do X” and then within a day, “10 ways to do X”. Or, someone posts “50 ways to do X” and all they do is link to other people that explain how to do it.
Too funny man :)
