Via a highly scientific process, I’ve determined that the list below contains 5 surefire ways to get a post listed on the homepage of Delicious.
Create a post with a title such as: 5 ways to do X
Create a post with a title such as: 10 ways to do X (where X is the same as in #1 and includes the first 5 ways)
Create a post with a title such as: 15 ways to do X (where X includes steps from #1 & #2)
Create a post with a title such as: 20 ways to do X (again, where X includes steps from #1, #2 & #3)
Create a post with a title such as: 42 ways to do X – the content of this post should do nothing other then link off to other sites that list ways to do X
It cracks me up with some of the ring tones I hear, and whenever someone tries to explain why they’re using “baby got back” as their ringtone (or whatever their selection is), they always say “well, I want to know it’s my phone ringing.” I use a regular ring for my cell phone and I never have a problem knowing if it’s mine or not, because no one else ever uses a regular ringer. What’s better, I don’t annoy people with some 5 second loop of a song if I leave the ringer on.
Finally, the scientific finding every man has been waiting to hear: carbo-loading on doughnuts optimizes your lifespan and makes you sexually potent. Too bad the research only applies to crickets (so far . . . ).
I am a Web Developer located in Richmond, VA. Primarily, I work on the back-end of websites utilizing my database and desktop application coding experience from the past to achieve desired results for the user interface. Recently however I have started moving more into the UI realm, utilizing JavaScript and AJAX to allow for better performance out of the back-end systems.
