The Governor of Virginia declared a “Stay at Home” order today for the state. People should only leave the house if it is essential. As he put it, me paraphrasing, there is a difference between needing to do something and wanting to do something. You should only leave your house if you need to. To the people congregating on our beaches and completely ignoring what everyone else is doing—you are being selfish.

Still improving but not sleeping well at all. Fever has stayed gone, so I think it’s safe to say it wasn’t COVID-19 at this point. Not sure what was going on. Hoping I can sleep tonight though. Reports all over Virginia and the Richmond general area of people seeing full parking lots still, etc. Folks aren’t taking this seriously. I am worried about what this will mean for us all long term.

Yesterday I woke up in the early morning (~4am) and was feeling cold and had uncontrollable shakes. Took my temperature and it was normal. Decided to move to the guest bedroom to be safe and limit exposure for my wife. I started to feel nauseous and ended up throwing up within the hour. I got a little sleep in and woke up with around a 101.6 degree temperature. My fever broke later in the day after some rest and Tylenol and, I mostly feel better so hoping I’m alright, but I’d be lying if I said that wasn’t a little scary.

Senate approved a 2 trillion dollar relief package, 96-0 Honestly … I don’t have much more to add. We haven’t left the house since last Friday. I went out and mowed the lawn today, mostly to get rid of leaf debris, etc. Other than that – work during the day, watch TV at night, go to sleep, repeat.
